Yesterday, on April 9, Yamaha launched the 2025 model of its popular bike FZ-S Fi in India. The Yamaha FZ-S Fi already looks great, but its new model comes with some new features and improved technology, making it the best in this segment.

Whether you ride on city roads or travel long distances on the highway, this bike has something special for every rider. Some new colors in the 2025 model, an engine with OBD-2B norms, and a slightly changed design make it more stylish than before. Let’s know a little more closely about the features, price, and other details of this bike.

Yamaha FZ-S Fi has always been the choice of those youth who want both style and performance together. This time, Yamaha has made some small and big changes to make this bike even better, due to which it has now become more powerful than bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar N150 and the TVS Apache RTR 160. So now let’s know what is new in it.

New look and design of Yamaha FZ-S Fi 2025

The design of the 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi is as strong and attractive as before, but some new changes have been made it give it a new and fresh look. The biggest difference is that now its front turn indicators are not near the headlight, but on the side of the tank. This has made the front of the bike look even cleaner and simpler.

Apart from this, four new color options, Matte Black, Metallic Gray, Ice Fluo-Vermillion, and Cyber Green, make the bike more stylish. Especially bright colors like Cyber Green and Ice Fluo-Vermillion will be liked by young riders.

The chrome finish near the tank has now been replaced with a gloss black finish, which gives the bike a slightly premium look. The LED headlight and taillight have been kept the same as before, which provides good lighting at night. Overall, the bike looks as aggressive as it is stylish.

Engine and Performance: What’s Changed?

Yamaha’s 2025 model FZ-S Fi bike is powered by a 149cc single-cylinder engine, which is air-cooled. This engine follows the new OBD-2B emission norms, making it better for the environment. Its power is 12.2 bhp, and it produces a torque of 13.3 Newton meters. This bike has a 5-speed gearbox, which makes the riding experience smooth. There is no difference in power and torque compared to the old model, but due to OBD-II B, the engine has now become a little more environmentally friendly.

This bike runs easily in city traffic and also performs smoothly on the highway. Yamaha says that this bike can also run on E20 fuel, which makes it ready for the future. Talking about mileage, this bike gives around 45-50 kmpl, which is quite good for everyday use.

Features: Modern and useful

The Yamaha FZ-S Fi 2025 now features a negative LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity, which connects to the Y-Connect app. With the help of this app, you can see trip distance, battery voltage, average speed, and maintenance-related information. Apart from this, safety features like side-stand engine cut-off and single-channel ABS have also been provided in the bike.

However, this model does not have hybrid technology, which is available in the FZ-S Fi Hybrid model. But still, the features given in it are enough for daily riding. Its 13-liter fuel tank makes it useful even for long-distance rides.

Price and Variants: How much does it cost?

The 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi is priced at Rs 1,34,800 ex-showroom, which is Rs 3,600 more than the previous model (FZ-S Fi V4 DLX). This increased price is due to new colors, design changes, and OBD-2B compliance. This bike comes in only one variant, but Yamaha’s FZ-S series has a total of six variants, priced between Rs 1.18 lakh and Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).

If you want a model with hybrid technology, the FZ-S Fi Hybrid is priced at Rs 1,44,800, which offers features like a 4.2-inch TFT display and a smart motor generator. If your budget is a little tight, then the non-hybrid model makes more sense.

Riding Experience and Handling

The riding experience of the Yamaha FZ-S Fi has always been its specialty. Its lightweight (137 kg) and balanced chassis make it perfect for both city and highway rides. Telescopic forks in the front and monoshock suspension at the rear make the ride quite comfortable even on bad roads. Disc brakes on both wheels and a wide 140-section rear tire give the bike good grip and braking.

Young riders will love its sporty handling and quick response throttle. Yes, the seat could have been a little more comfortable for long distances. But still, this bike is a reliable option for everyday riding.

The 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi is a great package with its new colour options, updated engine, and modern features. It is perfect for those looking for style, performance, and budget—an all-in-one bike. Yes, if you want more advanced technology like a TFT display and a hybrid engine, then the FZ-S Fi Hybrid may be better for you. But its current price and features make it a strong option.
