Electric scooter maker Ather Energy has made a new bang in its portfolio. The company has introduced a new version of its 450S model. This new model has a bigger battery than before, i.e. 3.7 kilowatt-hours, which makes it even better. Its price has been kept at ₹ 1,45,999 ex-showroom in Bangalore.
The biggest thing – it now gives an IDC certified range of 161 kilometers. Meaning, Ather’s entry-level performance scooter now has the power to cover long distances, that too while maintaining the sporty style.
Perfect balance of performance and range of Ather 450S 3.7 kWh
The new Ather 450S 3.7 kWh variant falls between the 450S 2.9 kWh and the top model 450X 3.7 kWh. It has a battery as big as the 450X, but some advanced software features have been removed to keep the price affordable.
Still, there is no shortage in terms of power – it gets 5.4 kW peak power and 22 Nm torque. The speed of this vehicle is so great that it catches the speed of 0 to 40 kmph in just 3.9 seconds. Apart from this, it can run at a maximum speed of up to 90 kmph.
Design and Riding Modes
The styling is the same old flamboyant one – sharp aerodynamic design, LED headlamp, and premium finish. It gets four riding modes – Smart Eco, Eco, Ride and Sport, so that range and performance can be balanced according to the need.
Plenty of features
This model has a 7-inch DeepView display. This screen gives you navigation facility showing directions. Also, it includes Bluetooth connectivity and online updates. There are also features like AutoHold, FallSafe, Emergency Stop Signal, Find My Scooter, Tow & Theft Alerts and Amazon Alexa integration with AtherStack Pro technology.
Ather Grid has a network of 3,300+ locations for fast charging. Home charging takes about 4 hours 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 80%.
Booking and prices
Booking of Ather 450S 3.7 kWh has started at the company’s showroom and website. Delivery will start from August 2025. The prices according to cities are as follows:

- Delhi – ₹1,48,047
- Mumbai – ₹1,48,258
- Chennai – ₹1,47,312
Battery warranty is also good
Ather’s Eight70 warranty program offers a guarantee of 8 years or 80,000 km, with assurance of maintaining at least 70% battery health.
Ather Energy Chief Business Officer Ravneet Phokela says that the 450 series is known for its excellent performance every time. He says that new and modern technology has been used in this series, which makes it special. Now by launching the new Ather 450S with 3.7 kWh battery and 161 km range, we are giving the same long range, which was earlier available only in 450X. This is for those riders who want sporty style and more range, but can compromise on advanced software features.
