Kinetic Engineering Limited has made a strong comeback in the world of electric two-wheelers. The company has launched an electric scooter named Kinetic DX under its new electric vehicle brand Kinetic Watts and Volts .
So far, an investment of ₹150 crore has been made and in the coming time, ₹350 crore more will be invested – that too entirely from family funds. With this new beginning, Kinetic is once again preparing to establish its dominance in the country’s two-wheeler industry, this time on the basis of innovation and ‘Make in India’.
New beginning of Kinetic DX Electric Scooter
The new red and blue Kinetic Watts & Volts logo was also introduced at the launch of the scooter . The look of the DX scooter is inspired by the old Kinetic Raptor – Raptor-shaped indicators, LED DRLs and a glowing ‘KINETIC’ logo on the handlebar cowl, everything is quite stylish.
Two variants have been launched – DX and DX+ , which have been priced at ₹ 1,11,499 and ₹ 1,17,499 ex-showroom. Bookings have started and deliveries will begin from September / October 2025. The company has limited the initial bookings to 35,000 units.
Powerful performance, smart design
The Kinetic DX is powered by a 2.6 kW LFP battery manufactured by Range-X . This battery comes with 2500 to 3500+ charging cycles, which according to the company, lasts four times longer than other scooters.
The scooter has a top speed of 90 km/h and an IDC-certified range of 116 kilometers. There is a 4.6 kW peak hub motor and three ride modes – Range, Power, and Turbo – are provided. A 220 mm front disc brake, 12-inch tires, 165 mm ground clearance and 1314 mm wheelbase make it perfect for Indian roads.
Talking about charging, this scooter equipped with ‘ EasyCharge ‘ system has an inbuilt charger and cable. 0 to 50% charging takes just 2 hours and full charging takes 4 hours.
100% Made in India promise
Kinetic claims that the DX scooter is 99% made in India. Everything – battery, motor, controller, body and chassis – has been developed in-house. The company’s new 2-acre scooter plant is proof of how serious Kinetic is about local manufacturing.
Not just a scooter, a smart machine
The Kinetic DX is also a smart EV, loaded with tech features.
The scooter features the MyKiney AI voice assistant , which speaks to the user in 14 Indian languages and Italian and German for export. The assistant also offers alerts, reminders, music and greetings – all via the built-in Bluetooth speaker.
The EasyKey feature allows the scooter to be started via password – no keys required.
Through the Telekinetics App , you can remotely start/stop the scooter, do geo-fencing, open the charging flap, get OTA updates and also get an alert if a wrong password is entered more than 10 times.
The Kinetic Assist Button allows the rider to connect directly to the helpline. Advanced features like Cruise Control, Hill Hold, Reverse Park Assist and K-Coast Regenerative Braking are also included. Anti-theft alerts are also available – but all these are exclusively offered in the DX+ variant.

Real scooters for real India
The metal body structure and designing of the DX is quite practical. EasyFlip footrest, 37-litre underseat boot that can hold a full-face helmet, a half-face helmet and even groceries. The flat floorboard is large enough to hold a gas cylinder – meaning this scooter is not just stylish, but also useful.
Colour options, warranty and where to get it?
You can get Kinetic DX in five different colours. However, there is a choice of only two colours for the DX variant. On the other hand, you will get the DX+ model in all five colours. It comes with a standard warranty of three years or 30,000 km, and if customers want, they can also avail the first-time battery warranty of 9 years/1 lakh km.
