JSW MG Motor India has launched its new electric MPV MG M9 in India, which directly challenges the Toyota Vellfire . The company has introduced it in only one fully-loaded variant called ‘Presidential Limousine’, whose ex-showroom price has been kept at ₹ 69.9 lakh.
But it is not just about the price, M9 is setting a new standard in this segment in terms of features, luxury and technology.
What is special in MG M9?
The MG M9 will be sold through the company’s new premium dealership chain, MG Select. These dealerships have been specially designed to give customers a luxury experience. MG claims that this car is not only luxurious, but is also very attractive in terms of price due to tax benefits. Interestingly, it can be booked now by paying ₹ 1 lakh, and deliveries will start from August 10, 2025.
Design and exterior look
One thing is clear from looking at the M9, this car looks no less than a ‘VIP moving suit’. There are three color options: Pearl Lustre White, Metal Black and Concrete Grey . The most royal look is seen in Metal Black.
The front has stylish LED DRLs, which look like ‘eyebrows’, below which there are vertical LED headlights and at the rear there is a full-width LED tail light strip. The car also has 18-inch alloy wheels, which further enhance its premium appeal.
The real game is inside
As soon as you step inside the M9, you will feel that it is like a moving office or a hotel suite. Its interior is minimalistic but the focus is completely on the rear seats or say, the majestic ‘thrones’. These ‘Presidential Seats’ come with 16-way electric adjustment. They also have heating, cooling and 8 types of massage modes.
The most interesting feature here is ‘Scenarios’, which allows you to control the seat, temperature and other vehicle settings simultaneously. Also, all the controls are available through an intelligent armrest screen, meaning there is no need for a remote.
Performance and Range
The MG M9 is equipped with a powerful 90 kWh NMC battery. According to the company, once this battery is fully charged, the car can travel up to 548 km. This battery powers a single electric motor that produces 245 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. For charging, you get all three options – DC fast charging, 11 kW AC wall box charger, and 3.3 kW portable charger.
A lifetime warranty is available on the battery, while a 3-year unlimited km warranty is being given on the car.

Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director of JSW MG Motor India, said on this occasion,

The M9 is for those who have the budget of a Vellfire but want more features, technology and comfort, and that too in electric form. The way this vehicle has come up with design and features, it would not be wrong to say that MG has given a new twist to the luxury MPV game.
